Dear stress, lets break up…..

It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.

Each one of us experience the feeling of being stressed out at some point in life. What is stress? Actually we feel ourselves in stress, when mind is occupied with lot of things and a situation we can’t control. It’s our mind, prompting the reaction on any kind of fear being experienced. Although it’s not any illness but yes too much of stress may lead to the risk of depression or more chronic mental illness. Some stress is always needed to get things going as well. And in today’s era where things keep moving at faster pace, one can easily get into the trap of stress. Have you ever wondered, why our ancestors were so capable of handling the day to day stress? Yes, upto some extent I consider we are living in a century, where everyone wants things done in a fraction of time, but apart from that there is a medical reason as well.

Whenever someone is in stress, the stress hormone sends signal to body to react faster, avoid any unwanted circumstances, which (very much) lacks in today’s world. Basically there are two types of stress; positive and negative. The positive stress is generally known by the term Eustress, that helps in going forward likewise, baby birth, marriage, academic achievement, job promotion, hike in salary, pleasing desire, asset purchase etc. And there is the other kind called negative stress or distress which gets you stuck in middle of nowhere like money matters, loss in business, trouble to near and dear ones, job dissatisfaction, frustration with oneself etc..

So, here are some quickies to reduce stress in life, whatsoever might be the situation:

  • Hope…….The very first thing which should come in mind is: There is always some hope, no matter how bad things are.
  • Don’t overboard yourself with multitasking, take a deep breath in and decide your priorities and go accordingly.
  • Don’t be over dramatic, stop overthinking and never create a scene out of nothing for yourself or others.
  • Meditate…..you will feel the difference.
  • Take a break from everything and focus on solution, instead of why it happened.
  • And finally, exercise…… the ultimate stress buster. Trust me, it helps.

These things are pretty much heard of, but yes these are basic and quick answer to your stress. So, take it easy. Life is too short to be stressed out.

No, point in stressing over something you can’t change. Move on and grow stronger.
