Running teaches me that I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined.

Don’t ask me why I run….. Ask yourself why you don’t.
Honestly speaking, I was not a big fan of running. I don’t know what inspired me, or in other words I should say what triggered me, that I started running. I am not a marathon runner until now (will soon step up to that as well), but yes now running is in my regime; If I miss running for a day, I stay restless that whole day. Now, I have that endorphin intoxication in me more active.
It all started 4 years back when I was so fascinated with some senior runners running early morning and that too with discipline (Hats off to them). After the birth of my boy, I finally started running and for keeping my motivation levels up, I joined few running groups. Trust me, it helped me a lot. A true booster to the running regime.
Just remember,
Every runner started with the first mile.

People often complain that they get bored while running for longer period of time, but it doesn’t mean you have to quit running. Rather, what you need is to find some means of motivating yourself. The best way to go for it is to start with some powerful music playline, another way is to find a partner in crime. Gear up yourself with some running accessories (so that you track your fitness parameters). There are few things you must consider to boost your running:
- Don’t have guilt about your pace or speed and distance covered.
No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch.
- Get the right set of accessories and workout apparels.
Forget the glass slipper. The princesses wears RUNNING SHOES.
- For a better run, one should go for cross/strength training, which will certainly help in building your muscles and increasing the physical and mental endurance.
The race always hurts. Expect it to hurt.
You don’t train so it doesn’t hurt. You train so you can tolerate.
- Obviously, there would times when you wouldn’t feel great about your run. Don’t let yourself down, it’s OK. It happens with everyone, even with the professional runners.
RUN for a good cause : YOURSELF.
- If you honestly want running to be in your habit, take out time from your busy schedule. Discipline is the key to be a great runner. Stay regular because occasional runs won’t serve the purpose.
I don’t find time to run….. I make time to RUN.
- Always be in the learning mode, try to learn from good runners around you.
The obsession with running is really an obsession with the potential for MORE & MORE LIFE.
- Don’t push yourself unnecessarily hard if you are in pain or injury. Always listen to your body.
Your only limit is YOU.
People ask why I run. I say:
“If you have to ask, you will never understand. It is something that only few selected ones know. Those who put themselves through pain, but know deep down how good it feels”. –Unknown.
So baby, leave that couch and start running. Get inspired from others and be an inspiration to at least a few.
Till then,
